If you are an Alaskan resident that has bought a vehicle
out-of-state we can help you get it titled and registered
to the State of Alaska prior to your returning to Alaska.
Any title or registration that you would like to mail in should
be sent to the Wasilla office. Our other locations do not process
mail in transactions. For further information please contact
the Wasilla office at 907-373-3681.
In order to best serve you we would like to provide you a list
of the necessary documents we will need in order to title your
vehicle, trailer, or motorcycle.
1. Ownership Documents Needed:
· Manufacturers Certificate of Origin OR
· Manufacturers Statement of Origin OR
· Title that has been properly signed by last registered
owner or owners.
Note: If there is an “AND” conjunction
between the owners names or an “AND/OR” you will
need BOTH signatures of the registered owners to release the
title
2. Complete application for
title and registration. The new owner needs to fill out
sections 1-5 then sign and date the form in ink.
3. Please be aware! If you are registering your vehicle
in the Municipality of Anchorage and your vehicle is 4 years
or older you will need an emission test no older than 90 days
to renew your registration.
4. Pre-Paid envelope if you would like your transaction back
sooner
5. Check or money order for the fees due.
Driving Records
ATS DMV Express is able to pull your 3 year Alaskan driving
record. This is usually what employers and insurance agencies
ask for. If you need an out-of-state driving record you will
have to contact the state that issued the driver’s license.
