Alaska Tags and Titles is here to serve those who are serving
our country. The following explains how to title/register
your vehicle with our services. With Alaska Tags and Titles
there is no need for you to have a friend or family member
walk your paperwork into a DMV office. We can handle your
transactions through the mail. We will complete your transaction
and have it out the door and on the way to you within 5 working
days. We use USPS Priority Mail. Please include a self-addressed
prepaid envelope if you need your paperwork sooner than 5
working days.
Any title or registration
that you would like to mail in should be sent to the Wasilla
office. Our other locations do not process mail in transactions.

Titling a Vehicle to the State of Alaska
1. Ownership Documents Needed:
· Manufacturers Certificate of Origin OR
· Manufacturers Statement of Origin OR
· Title that has been properly signed by last registered
owner or owners. Note: If there is an
“AND” conjunction between the owners names or
an “AND/OR” you will need BOTH signatures of the
registered owners to release the title
2. Complete application for
title and registration. The new owner needs to fill out
sections 1-5 then sign and date the form in ink. Sections
3 and 4 can be out-of-state addresses.
3. A copy of your current leave and earnings statement (No
older than 90 days) showing that you are an Alaskan resident
and active duty military.
4. Pre-Paid envelope if you would like your transaction back
sooner.
5. Check, money order, for the fees due.
Renewing
Existing Alaskan Registration
1. You will need your Alaskan License Plate Number or Vehicle
Identification Number.
2. Fill out the vehicle transaction
application short form.
3. A copy of your current leave and earnings statement (No
older than 90 days).
4. Pre-Paid envelope if you want your registration back sooner.
5. Check or money order for the fees due.
